Duagh

Year:2022

Acrylic on Paper, 21×15 cm

One of my first paintings in Ireland. A completely ordinary rural sunset, the kind you'd normally just drive past — but this one was worth stopping the car for, worth looking at properly.

It became a quiet reflection of something I was only beginning to understand: that living thousands of kilometres from home, you slowly, almost unexpectedly, start to feel a sense of belonging to this new place too. Not instead of home — alongside it.

The original painting is now part of a private collection.
