Blennerville is one of those well-known spots — tourists come for the windmill, cameras up, postcard shot secured. And it's a striking sight, no question. But this time I found myself drawn to something else — a small, weathered cottage standing quietly just beside it. Overgrown, forgotten by most passing cameras, yet it's been standing there the whole time, right next to the mill, watching the same sky, the same road, the same tides of visitors come and go. There's something quietly moving about that kind of presence — a structure that doesn't ask to be noticed, but endures anyway. While the windmill stands proudly, drawing every passing eye, marking time in its own deliberate way, the cottage just stays. A reminder that time doesn't only move forward in grand, visible ways — sometimes it just settles into walls, into stone, into things we walk past without looking.
