It's hard to imagine living in Kerry and not being inspired by a landscape with cows in it — they're everywhere, every colour, every breed, scattered across every field you pass. This one's a memory of a summer day when we lived in an old farmhouse, with cattle grazing in the fields all around us — belonging to a farmer named Liam, who became a good friend of ours. He always had plenty of stories to tell, about Ireland, its past and its present.
