BALLYSEEDY WOODS

Year:2026

Acrylic on Canvas:40×100 cm

A quiet landscape, half-hidden in the shade of trees. Nothing dramatic. But there’s something in it that stays with me — a kind of quiet magic, and the memory of a really good day.

Ballyseedy Woods is one of those places locals know and visitors often miss — an old woodland just outside Tralee, mapped as far back as the 16th century. Oak, ash, beech, some of them centuries old, still standing the way they always have.

Some paintings take time to become what they want to be. This was one of them.

The original painting was shown at my first solo exhibition, “The Place That Found Me,” and sold on opening night.
