Ireland gave me the chance to reassess what matters in life — and not postpone painting, not put off feeling like an artist again until “better times.”
This piece shows a typical rural road — something you might pass every day without giving it much thought. But I captured this moment while driving home one evening, and it hit me: I genuinely feel like the place I live now is home.
It gives me strength, inspiration, and the ability to live a full life.
The original painting was shown at “Our Land, Our Story,” a group exhibition with the Listowel Visual Artists’ Collective (LVAC) at St. John’s Theatre, Listowel, in 2025, and sold during the show.
